SEEMiS Group is an Education Management Information System (MIS) provider. As the standard MIS within Scottish Education, all local student data is processed and managed by SEEMiS software offering interfaces with external agencies such as ScotXed and SQA.

At the heart of our product set is SEEMiS Click+Go which offers a wide range of modules to support Pupil and Staff record management including Nursery Application Management System (NAMS), Attendance, Pastoral Notes, Progress + Achievement and Reporting.

By working closely with its members and the strategic bodies responsible for the education direction in Scotland, SEEMiS looks to continually improve its product set and support local authorities and their associated schools to deliver their statutory and discretionary responsibilities.

Service update

  • Upgrade of Server Estate Linux Operating System
    As previously advised in the SEEMiS Work Programme and User Groups, it is necessary to upgrade the operating system of some of the servers that run Click + Go and other SEEMIS applications.
    The operating system upgrade of CentOS from v6 to v8 is required as support is ending on the current platform at the end of November. After this time no further security patches will be released for v6.
    With the work to upgrade the Local Authority servers underway, we would like to notify you of Planned Maintenance/Disruption as we address the rest of our estate.

    Planned Disruption - 9 – 30 November 2020
    From Monday 9 November, SEEMiS Systems may be subject to disruption between 4pm-5pm (Monday – Friday) – we will email you on the day and publish to the website the area(s) of the system that will be affected.

    From Monday 16 November, the Training environment and ATE will be subject to disruption between 4pm-6pm (Monday – Friday)

    We will advise on the day, if for any reason, we will not be using that evening’s window

    Planned Maintenance - From 14 November 2020
    Further to changes to the planned maintenance scheduled on 14th November 2020 the outstanding updates will be carried out on the following dates:

    Friday 20th November 2020 3pm – 5pm
    Monday 23rd November 2020 4pm-5pm
    Tuesday 24th November 2020 4pm-5pm

    Applications will remain accessible during the updates, but users may experience some interruptions or errors.

  • Disruption to service

    There will be a possibility of short term disruption to some application functions for all users between 16:15-19:15 on 25/11/2020.
